Anechoic Chambers

An anechoic chamber is a room in which there are no echoes. This description was originally used in the context of acoustic (sound) echoes caused by reflections from the internal surfaces of the room but more recently the same description has been adopted for the radio frequency (RF) anechoic chamber. An RF anechoic chamber is designed to suppress the electromagnetic wave analogy of echoes: reflected electromagnetic waves, again from the internal surfaces. Both types of chamber are normally constructed, not only with echo suppression features, but also with effective isolation from the acoustic or RF noise present in the external environment. In a well designed acoustic or RF anechoic chamber, the equipment under test will only receive signals which were emitted directly from the signal source and not reflected from another part of the chamber. Radio Frequency Anechoic Chamber

Also called RF Shield Chamber.

This system is available in both standard modular enclosures and custom-designed modular enclosures to meet exacting specifications in government, industry, research and development, university or hospital use.

RF anechoic chamber is typically used to house the equipment for performing measurements of antenna radiation patterns, WLAN Products, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), MIL-STD/commercial EMI and radar cross section measurements. Each frequency range has a band designator and each range of frequencies behaves differently and performs different functions. Microwave Absorber and Shielded Anechoic Chambers available with accessories like precision turn table with angular accuracy of 0.05 degree (using non contact encoder) synchronized with commercially available microwave receivers like Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer etc.

Anechoic Chamber

The anechoic chamber uses the non-flammable wedge-shaped absorbers. They use non-sound reflex materials, they have high soundproof capability. These are the things we could not achieve with our conventional wedge-shaped absorbers. Until now, concrete construction or carpentry using wooden boards were common. But our anechoic chamber uses non-flammable soundproof panels (with several layers) even in the sound insulating layer and it can be transferred to a different place.

Semi-Anechoic Chamber

The semi-anechoic chamber is an anechoic space for measuring noises (sound power level) of equipments and machines. Not like the soundproof chamber, our semi-anechoic chamber is an inspection room that gives consideration to the background noise to measure a single figure. It is made to intercept effects from the external noises by sound insulation and absorption. The cut-off frequency (it differs by type) of the standard wedge-shaped absorber. We can say that there is a high sound absorption capability from low to high frequency.
